The Parkinson’s Disease Grant Program will award three (3) research projects with analysis of 86 samples using the NULISAseq™ Neuro 220 Panel through Alamar’s Technology Access Program.
The NULISAseq™ Neuro 220 Panel offers comprehensive coverage of the Hallmarks of Neurodegenerative disease with highly sensitive and specific multiplexed analysis of 220 biomarkers from biofluids, including 25 new biomarkers associated with Parkinson’s Disease, 15 of which were developed with support from The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, providing researchers with an automated solution to dissect heterogeneity and identify signatures of disease initiation and progression in clinical cohorts.

Ability to complete project within a 6-month period
Potential to publish the results on high impact factors as determined by the judges
Grant submissions must be received by 11:59 PM Pacific Time on Monday, May 4, 2026.
Publication of Results:
All grant submissions are confidential to the individual submitter and will not be published or distributed. Upon project completion, the grant winner agrees to participate in one of the following activities relating to the specific project, with specific details of the applicable activity to be mutually agreed upon in good faith by Alamar and the winner: local seminar, webinar, case study, blog post, or poster presentation. Each winner agrees that Alamar shall have the right to use de-identified data from the winner’s project in application notes or marketing literature.
Eligibility and Requirements:
In order to be eligible to win the grant of the NULISAseq™ Neuro Panel 220, applicants must be actively enrolled at an academic institution or employed at a research facility in a capacity in which they are able to perform research on and have capabilities to collect samples as well as run their project as described in the submitted abstract. The grant winner must be age 18 or older. Members of the immediate families of Alamar employees and directors, and persons living in the same household as such persons, are ineligible for this grant.

CSO
Dr. Willams serves as the company’s Chief Scientific Officer. He was previously Chief Medical Officer at Standard Biotools and at SomaLogic where he pioneered the discipline for discovery and validation of predictive, diagnostic and prognostic models using machine-learning applied to large-plex proteomics. 20 such tests were used for drug characterization, safety and efficacy when incorporated in clinical drug trials at Pharma/Biotech and 17 different multivariate tests were validated and translated into regulated healthcare uses. Prior to SomaLogic, Dr. Williams was at Pfizer in the UK and the USA as a clinical triallist in Translational Medicine, and subsequently as VP, Global Clinical Technology. He sat on the National Advisory Council for the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, the Executive Committee for the FNIH Biomarkers Consortium, and worked with FDA and PhRMA on developing evidentiary standards for biomarker qualification. Dr. William’s medical training was in London, at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, followed by a PhD in medicine/physiology at the same institution and training in Radiology at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Steve is co-inventor on 26 proteomics patents and author/coauthor on multiple foundational proteomics manuscripts.
CFO
Mr. McAnear serves as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. He brings over 25 years of operational and financial leadership experience across various sectors and was instrumental in taking 10x Genomics public in 2019, serving as its CFO for over five years. Mr. McAnear served for over 3 years as Tesla’s VP of Worldwide Finance and Operations, supporting landmark initiatives such as the Model X and Model 3 launches and Solar City acquisition. He also held various roles at Apple and J&J earlier in his career and served as a naval officer and aviator for over 9 years.
